Summer 2024 was a busy season, but oh-so rewarding.
I got engaged! I traveled to Chicago, IL, Custer, SD, Sacramento, CA, and Estes Park, CO. I worked alongside a friend on projects for his non-profit, Freedomtainment. I got a chance to work full-time on the Student Success Team at the UNO College of Business Administration.
As I reflect on this summer and the blessings I’ve experienced, I wanted to give a peek into how I spent my summer at UNO. My graduate assistantship in the Center for Professional Sales was a ten-month contract, so between May and August, I was not under contract and free to work anywhere. During the spring, I had conversations with Dr. Molly Belieu, the Assistant Dean for Student Success in the College of Business about the summer plans for the Student Success team and her passion for serving students at UNO. In these conversations, it was in these conversations that my own passion for connecting people to the resources they need began to take
In August, I accepted a full-time role at the University as a Career Advisor in the CBA Career Center. In this role, I will hold a very student-facing role in the Student Success Team at UNO, helping students to find and prepare for the next steps in their careers.
As I start this new chapter, working full-time and finishing my MBA, I’ve stepped away from my previous role as the Graduate Assistant for the Center for Professional Sales. While I’m bummed to move away from working with the University’s fantastic sales faculty, I’m very excited to continue my professional journey in the CBA Career Center under the leadership of Laura Sansoni, Director of Career Development in the College of Business.
